Rotary Club of Taipei was honored to receive Pony Hsu as guest speaker for the November 21st Luncheon.

Established in 1987, the Syin-Lu Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes empowerment and economic self-sufficiency for people with disabilities and their families in Taiwan. Through a variety of projects, the foundation provides psychological treatment for children and professional training for those over the age of 15. The foundation has a program that helps youths with disabilities develop work skills.

Every year, the Syin-Lu Foundation provides comprehensive care for more than 5,000 people who are mentally and physically challenged. They provide services ranging from early diagnosis/treatment, living assistance and care of the elderly. In order to achieve this, funding of an estimated NT$300 million needs to be raised to help people with special needs.

The money raised from the Sergeant-of-arms November 21st was donated to the Syin-Lu Foundation: 11,500 TWD.

Rotarian Kenny matched this donation and Rotarian Janny added another 10,000 making the total amount of donation to 33,000 TWD
