June 2nd 2022 we had a special Guest Speaker, our own P. Andy.
In a breathtaking presentation he went through some of the lessons learned from his experience in the DEA.

1st We all have a choice!
Our character is made of the decision that we made. Most of drug trafficker act out of greed looking at instant gratifications without thinking at the consequences
2nd The most dangerous phrase in our language is “We’ve always done it this way”. Always prepare for the unexpected. “We don’t rise to the level of our expectations; we fall to the level of our training” (Archilocus)
3rd People need purpose! The best success is to see people succeeding and having a goal! A life without clear purpose is like driving with no destination and o directions.

The Online English Learning Project launched by RCT has as mission to Facilitate growing Mindsets and Stimulating Interest in Learning

We are putting together 2 Bilingual High Schools and 3 Primary schools to help the elementary school students to learn and practice English.

This year more than 60 high-school students from Taipei European Schools and Asia American International Academy volunteered to be the teachers!
Dan Lu Elementary School, Da Guang Elementary School and Yong Gang Elementary School from the more disfavored region of the Southern part of Taiwan participated in the exchange, with more then 66 students involved.

Our project is structured in a continuous learning mode
The conexion is built around the RCT Website where Students can connect and deliver/receive classes. We have created automated processes to ensure attendance and correct connection between mentors and students

What counts are the children, to give them an opportunity to grow!
For the mentors, it is also a great opportunity to experience that they can make the difference in the life of others!

On October 7 -9, The Rotary Club of Taipei led by Mr. Andy Malanga, the 2021-22 president of the Rotary Club, went south to Mudan Township, Pingtung County the southernmost tip of Taiwan. The entourage included Professor Hwa Kuoyuan, Dr. William Choi, and Chairman Lin Junhong, Mr. Tomas Lutovsky and others.  We were received by Secretary Tsai Chongren.  Later that day and the next the entourage met indigenous people from that area.

Dr. T. F. Chen is a painter, writer, philosopher, visionary, and initiator of "Neo-Iconography" in painting.
Born in Taiwan and educated in France, Dr. Chen was the 1st Asian scholar to earn a Ph. D in Art History from La Sorbonne, where he established “Five-Dimensional World Culture” in theory (1969) and initiated “Neo-Iconography” in painting

Dr. Chen presented the extent of his artwork and explained his inspiration.
Neo-Iconography is a daring new form of communication. It unites East and West, past and present, by organizing and combining familiar “icons” in unfamiliar ways.
Like a passionate art collector, Dr. Chen assembles images he treasures and places them together an eclectic composition, which may be startling, puzzling, joyful, sorrowful or humorous.
“Neo-I” is a daring form of art because it challenges both the artist and the viewer to accept new meanings for established images. Each painting has a visual impact with a philosophical underpinning.
