Confidentiality disclaimer and Intellectual Property

Infingement of others’ intellectual properties are strictly prohibited. Proper citation should be made if the solution or presentation refers to others’ data, ideas, or materials.

The authors of the social solution plan will retain all proprietary rights to the plan regarding its use at all times prior to and following the contest.

All contestants will be responsible for taking the proper steps to protect their intellectual property.

The Rotary Club of Taipei, judges, reviewers, staff, or the audience will not sign non-disclosure statements.

All public sessions of the contest, including but not limited to oral presentations and question/answer sessions, are open to the public at large. Any and all of these public sessions may be broadcasted or presented to interested persons through media which may include the Internet, radio, television, and others. Any data or information discussed or divulged in public sessions by entrants should be considered information that will likely enter the public realm, and entrants should not assume any right of confidentiality in any data or information discussed, divulged or presented in these sessions.

RCT may make photocopies, photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and/or any other form of records of the presentations including the written plans and other documents, charts or material prepared for use in the presentations at the RCT ESSC. By registering and participating in the ESSC, you agree to secure and grant the Rotary Club of Taipei and the affiliated entities non-exclusive, non-revocable, worldwide, and compensation-free rights in all languages, in any format, and in all media, to use, reproduce, or to publish the materials you submitted and/or presented for non-commercial purposes.
